CARETAKER/CLEANER SUPERVISOR

 

SALARY RANGE GRADE 3/4 SCP 11 – 20 (£18,811.45 – £22,951.25 pay rise pending)

 

A vacancy has arisen to join Hedge End Town Council caretaking team as a supervisor. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join us.

 

The post is for 37 hours per week and will be on a split shift including 6am to 8am and 3.30pm to 5.30pm with a rota weekend. As this is a new post we need the successful candidate to work with the existing caretaking team on the rotas ensuring cover is in place 7 days a week from 7am to midnight depending on hire.

 

You will be required to carry out a range of caretaking and cleaning duties within HETC buildings, adhering to Health & Safety procedures and regulations.  Duties will include the supervision of all caretaking/ cleaning staff focussing on their performance in terms of standard of cleanliness and customer service. You will be required to open halls to hirers, checking out hirers ensuring no damages.  Cleaning of surfaces and sinks, brushing and wet mopping of floors and cleaning toilets.

  • friendly, approachable, flexible and reliable
  • experienced in managing people and teams

A vacancy has arisen to join Hedge End Town Council caretaking team. We are looking for either one person able to cover both days on the weekend or two friendly reliable and enthusiastic people to join us.

 

The post is for 7 hours per day Saturday & Sunday with potential for overtime at the weekend and when cover is required during the week. Ideally, we would want two people on alternate days so they can cover for absence. The hours are split shifts anywhere from 7.30am to midnight depending on the hires.

GROUNDS PERSON

Hedge End Town Council are looking for a full time conscientious, Horticultural Grounds Person, 37 hours per week for care and maintenance of grounds and sports pitches, premises, and the preparation of graves with use of an excavator. Experience of operating horticultural machinery including ride-on and pedestrian mowers, tractors is required. A recognised chainsaw qualification would be preferred along with experience of using a flail. Ideally the person would have an excavator licence or be willing to obtain this as part of the role. Qualifications essential with work experience and clean driving licence are required.

LITTER PICKER (PART TIME)

Hedge End Town Council are looking for 2 part time conscientious Litter Pickers, initially this will be for 3.5 hours each day over the weekend either a Saturday or Sunday.  The role requires someone who can work across several sites in Hedge End keeping parks and open spaces tidy and free of litter and to assist with any other tasks that may be required.

 

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • a full UK Driving Licence
