The Town Council is the major provider of outdoor recreation within our boundaries.

We are blessed with good access to outdoor recreation. With the cooperation of Eastleigh Borough Council, the Town Council, as the level of local government closest to the residents, is responsible for looking after an increasing amount of our open spaces and outdoor leisure facilities.

Woodhouse Lane Skate Park

Renovated and extended in 2011, Woodhouse Lane skatepark site, Hedge End, now boasts a large, well designed concrete facility for our young people to really enjoy. Whether you're into skateboards, scooters, BMX's or just want to hang with your mates, this is the place to be!

This community facility has grown hugely in popularity following its extension and is enjoyed by our very youngest enthusiasts, as well as teenagers and young adults alike.  Acoustic fencing was placed at the site during 2012 to protect local residents from any noise pollution whilst the kids are having fun!

Note: A skateboard half pipe is also situated at Greta Park, behind the basketball courts.
