1ST HEDGE END BOYS' BRIGADE
1st Hedge End Boys Brigade meets in the Methodist Church Hall, St John's Road, Hedge End.
Boys 4 years+ Tuesdays 6.00pm;
Boys 11 years+ Wednesdays 7.30pm.
The programme includes games, badge work, arts and crafts, fun events, the opportunity to go camping and from 14 years of age take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

The Girls' Brigade is a Christian uniformed organisation for girls aged 4 and above.
We meet on Tuesday evenings at Hedge End Methodist Church, St Johns Road, Hedge End.
There is the opportunity for games, arts and crafts, cookery, music and singing whilst having lots of fun and making new friends. All girls welcome.

BOTLEY, HEDGE END & DISTRICT U3A
Botley, Hedge End and District u3a. Our general meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month and are held in Botley Market Hall at 1.30 PM. Membership of the u3a is aimed at those no longer in full time employment or raising a family.
Although our general meetings are in Botley, we welcome members from all over the local area. We facilitate members getting together in smaller self help groups to pursue topics of interest to them. Groups up and running or in the pipeline include: Walking, Card and Board Games, Creative Writing, Lunches, Wine Appreciation, Church Architecture, French, Mahjong and Ukele.

POLICE CADETS
Aged 13 to 17? Then this is your chance to support the community and develop leadership skills.
The Volunteer Police Cadets scheme provides a safe environment where young people can learn as individuals, develop positive relationships with the police and actively support the community.
- first aid
- using handheld radios
- law and force procedure
- our specialist units – such as our dog, traffic and armed response teams – through visits
As well as these weekly sessions, you’ll need to commit to volunteering for a minimum of three hours per month.
We’ll help you find opportunities to do so.
You’ll also be working alongside police officers and staff at a variety of events and policing operations, leading to you achieving our Police Cadet Volunteering Award.

DIABETES GROUP (SOUTHAMPTON & DISTRICT)
The Southampton & District Diabetes Group meet in Bitterne but cover a wide geographical area. To the east the next group like ours is Fareham, to the north, it is in Winchester and to the east its in Wiltshire!! Although we do not meet in Hedge End, we certainly welcome residents who wish to attend our group.
Our group meets approx every 6 weeks on a Monday evening and we have a range of medical experts coming along to speak to us about different aspects of Diabetes.

GUIDES, BROWNIES & RAINBOWS
In Hedge End, we have four Rainbows Units,
aged 4 - 7, five Brownie Units aged 7 -10, four Guide Units aged 10 -14 and a Ranger unit aged 14-18, who meet in various locations around Hedge End. Our main headquarters is Baden Powell Lodge in Pavilion Road.
