Festive Fun at Home ** COMPETITION NOW CLOSED**

People were invited to grab your pens, pencils, paint brushes and be ready to have some Festive Fun at Home on the lead up to Christmas Day. Hedge End Town Council ran weekly competitions starting from the 30th November through to 20th December where the local community had the chance to win weekly prizes donated generously by local businesses.

Week 1 - 3 - Best Tree (30th Nov – 20th Dec)

 

Alongside our weekly competitions we invited entries for the best Christmas tree. This could be real or artificial, traditional or alternative? 

 

The winners for each of the competitions were selected by a panel of councillors.

Week 1 - Festive Scene (30th Nov - 6th Dec)

 

For the first week of the competition entries were invited to create a Festive Scene, this could include using pens, aitns, mosiacs or collages. Details of the winners are below:

Week 2 - Festive Poem (7th Dec-13th Dec)

 

Week 2 invited people to send a poem on the theme of 'Christmas' The only stipulation here was it needed to be family appropriate.

Week 3 - Junk Art Festive Model (14th Dec- 20th Dec)

 

The third and final week asked for a Junk Art Festive Model to be made from recycled materials.

Prizes have been kindly donated by local businesses and Hedge End Town Council suppliers with a special prize for the final week on the run up to Christmas Day!
