HEDGE END TOWN COUNCIL - SERVING THE COMMUNITY
WOODHOUSE LANE TENNIS COURTS TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Hedge End Town Council in partnership with the LTA is improving the system of bookings for tennis courts at Woodhouse Lane and as part of this programme will be changing the key fob system to a new automated system.
To enable this improvement plan to be effective, essential maintenance must be carried out to the gate system and contractors will be on site Thursday 22 June for several days, to complete the work. The work is expected to be completed between 22 - 30 June, but may be subject to change.
Please Note: During this time, the tennis courts will be temporarily closed.
The Town Council must therefore advise that any bookings made will have to be cancelled due to this improvement scheme. The Town Council apologises for the short notice and inconvenience caused, but this is out of the Town Council’s control. However, the Town Council can assure members that the improvement will be of great benefit to all.
PADDLING POOL - ACCESS RESTRICTED DUE TO ONGOING SOUTHERN WATER GROUNDWORKS
The paddling pool at the recreation ground (St Johns Road) is now open for the summer. However, there are restrictions in place on the recreation ground (see image). This is due to essential Southern Water sewer maintenance works, which the Town Council has had no control over.
A substantial part of the recreation ground has been fenced off and there is limited access. Please park either at the allotted car parking at Hedge End Social Club (Bursledon Road) or by using the 2000 Centre car park. PLEASE NOTE: There is NO access through the cutway by the hedge from the 2000 Centre Car Park. Instead, please use the public pavements on St Johns Road or Bursledon Road to access the paddling pool.
