HAMPSHIRE HIGHWAYS SURFACE DRESSING

Hampshire Highways are carrying out 'Surface Dressing' works on various minor roads within the borough. The works are currently programmed to commence from Monday 19 March 2018 and are expected to last for 4 months.

Whilst the Surface Dressing is carried out, every effort will be made to minimise disruption to highway users, although for Health and Safety reasons this work will require some form of positive traffic management system in place and delays are to be expected. As much notification will be provided to the public as possible via signage erected on the road. The overarching programme is extensive and changes to dates and times are likely, and often at short notice. The pre warning signs will be updated as soon as possible to help inform the travelling public.

The roads to be affected in the Hedge End area:

Alexandra Road; St John's Road; Bursledon Road; Albert Road; Upper St Helens Road; Heath House Lane; Lower St Helens Road; Freegrounds Road; Shamblehurst Lane North; Stroudley Way; Winchester Road; Downland Place; Foord Road.
