St George Fest

The objective of the 'St George Fest' is to promote our heritage and culture and enjoy our often quirky English traditions with the local community in a positive and inclusive way.

 

As a result, The St George Fest now run regular events throughout the year.

 

 

 

 

The main focus is St George's Day, the English national day, on the 23rd April.

Events in 2011 included:

 

  • 'The New Rope String Band' musical comedy night
  • Halloween Barn Dance
  • Trafalgar Day Ceilidh
  • Christmas with the Madding Crowd

 

All members of the committee are local, dedicated volunteers from a cross section of the community.

The St George's Fest is a 'not for profit' organisation and any surplus is carried forward to the next event.
